I received some very good feedback on my elevator pitch No. 1. I agreed with all of it and think that the people who commented had really good ideas for improving my elevator pitch. Some suggested rehearsing the pitch ahead of time and being confident in what I am pitching. So for this elevator pitch what I tried to improve upon was my confidence and not saying too many filler words as well as writing out what I wanted to say so that I knew ahead of time what I was going to be talking about and was less on the spot. I think by doing these things my elevator pitch improved a lot compared to the first one.

Courtney, I could tell you took the comments seriously from your first pitch and you made a lot of improvement! In this pitch the first thing I noticed was your camera angle was looking up at you rather than head on in the first one. I would raise your camera so that its like your looking a potential investor in the eye instead of looking down on them as if they were in a chair. You made a lot of progress in speaking with confidence from your first pitch, and if you keep practicing like you did for this one your pitch will keep improving. Great job!
ReplyDeleteHi Courtney!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your Elevator Pitch video and your blog, I really enjoyed reading and watching it. I think you did a much better job on your Elevator Pitch this second time compared to your first time. It seemed more professional in my opinion. Also, your speech greatly improved. Overall, you did a great job. Here is the link to my Elevator Pitch and blog, you should check it out when you get the chance: http://ent3003nicole.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no-2.html
Courtney, Thank you for sharing your pitch. I thought overall your idea is great, but I would work more on fixing the smaller things like camera angle. You should have the angle not looking up at you, but at an angle that is has your face centered with the screen. You look comfortable speaking, which very important when you are presenting a pitch. ReplyDeleteHey, Courtney! I really like how your speech and body language flowed naturally! Although you said that you rehearsed it, it didn't sound artificial. It felt like a genuine conversation. I'm also glad you improved use of filler words! Keep it up! Here's my link: http://alejandrogomezent3003.blogspot.com/2016/02/elevator-pitch-no2.html
ReplyDeleteHey Courtney, your speech was fine just needed a better camera angle. Like just straight on instead of an angle from down below. Now to the subject of matter that you were talking about in the video, its pretty different. This idea is an unusual one and is something I would have never thought of. Go and check my blog out and let me know what you think! http://ufrob.blogspot.com/2016/02/rob-elevator-pitch-no-2.html
